Sidhu addressed rally in gurdwara,alleges Cong

The district Congress alleged that BJP Lok Sabha MP Navjot Singh Sidhu held a rally on the premises of a gurdwara in Chawinda Kalan in violation of the election code of conduct. The Congress leaders recorded the entire convention and later released CDs and have decided to approach the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). DCC (Rural) head SJS Lally Majithia said,“Sidhu addressed rallies in the diwan halls of gurdwaras in villages Sodhiyan,Madoke Brar and Sarangra,but this was the only rally which we had documented.”

However,Sidhu said he had the permission to hold the rally,which was organised a few feet away from the gurdwara building. He condemned the Congress for trying to malign his image. “The Congress has no issues so it is levelling false allegations against me,” he added.
