A DAY after a sepoy committed suicide at Chandimandir Military Station, the Panchkula police on Thursday said they would send a team to Patiala for further investigation.
V P Pawar was posted in Patiala and was sent on duty to Chandimandir on temporary duty two days ago. In his suicide note, he has blamed his Company Commander and Subedar in Patiala for not helping him, when he shared his problem with them.
“The Army will carry out its own inquiry, but police will go ahead with its investigation. We will send a team to Patiala soon. The allegations made in the suicide note need to be verified,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police Dalip Kumar.
