Seminar on information technology held at college

A national seminar on ‘Techvision 2020 — Emerging Paradigms in Information Technology’ was organised by the Desh Bhagat Institute of Management and Computer Sciences on Monday.

A national seminar on ‘Techvision 2020 — Emerging Paradigms in Information Technology’ was organised by the Desh Bhagat Institute of Management and Computer Sciences on Monday.

Apart from the faculty members and students of the Computer Science department of the college,a large number of delegates from various institutes of the country attended the seminar.

They presented their papers and held discussions on various topics.

While inaugurating the seminar,chief guest for the occasion,former DGP of Punjab,P C Dogra said that information technology plays a vital role in the present day world.

“The IT sector in India is no doubt,taking rapid strides,” he said.

He added that the educational institutions too play an important role in providing quality education to the young generation and prepare them for the changing scenario.

Former vice-president of HDFC and social activist,Neena Singh,emphasised that the future of India belongs to the IT sector.

The special highlight of the seminar was the release of the book entitled “Emerging Paradigms in Information Technology”.

This book includes all the papers which were selected for presentation in the seminar.
