Sacred Heart principal to be quizzed today

The UT Administration had marked a magisterial inquiry into the school’s questionable role in the expulsion of Ruchika Girhotra in September 1990,a month after she was molested by former DGP S P S Rathore.

“We had asked the school authorities to cooperate and answer the questions pertaining to Ruchika Girhotra’s expulsion. But since the principal was on leave,we could not get all documents related to the case,” a senior UT official said. “The school principal will be questioned tomorrow.”

Earlier,the inquiry officer had found that Sister S Sebastina was the school principal when Ruchika was expelled. The school had not given a clear reason for her expulsion — it had said she defaulted in paying the fees.

But Rathore,in his defence in the court,had said Ruchika was expelled on “moral grounds”.

The inquiry has revealed that before Ruchika,the school never expelled any student for not paying fee on time.

The Administration had marked an inquiry after Madhu Prakash,Aradhana’s mother,lodged a complaint in the case on Monday.
