Dressed in an elegant sari,Sonakshi Sinha is seated at a writing table. Ranveer Singh,in a black suit, appears from the other side, giving her a sideways glance. A little romantic banter follows between the two. The act is over, but the audience is so taken in,they forget to applaud. Perhaps,it was the chemistry between the two or the beautifully woven lines,a small act performed by Sinha and Singh at the trailer launch of Lootera, had the audience mesmerised.
The launch held at the Liberty cinema hall in Mumbai, had in attendence director Vikramaditya Motwane, the Phantom crew,Vikas Bahl,Anurag Kashyap and Madhu Mantena and Ekta Kapoor, the producers of the film.
One of the most anticipated movies of the year,Lootera brings together Singh and Sinha, who were quite a riot on stage. They were pulling each others leg and when asked, what is the one thing they want to loot, both responded box-office and all the awards. The movie set in the 50s is Motwanes second attempt
after the critically-acclaimed Udaan. I wanted to push myself forward and make a movie which was completely different from what I have already made, he says. Kapoors reason for investing in this movie was the people she would be associated with. When my mum saw the promo, she started crying, she says.
