Express Exclusive: Red Ecosport ‘belonging to’ Delhi blast accused Umar Nabi found at Haryana farmhouse

Police in Haryana have found a red Ford EcoSport, which belongs to Red Fort blast suspect Umar Nabi, from a farmhouse in Haryana’s Khandawali village.

Officials had, earlier in the day, sounded a red alert in several states to look for the vehicle, after discovering that it was registered under Nabi’s name.

The vehicle was found in a farmhouse belonging to Nabi’s friend, who has been detained and is being questioned, sources say. The vehicle is being searched by forensic and ballistic experts, they say.


The i20 Nabi was driving at the time of the blast was earlier found to be registered under the name of a Pulwama plumber, who has also been picked up by the police for questioning. Police sources had said they believe over 60 kg of ammonium nitrate was in the vehicle when it exploded near Red Fort.
