Rajiv walks away with golf title

Bhupinder Singh claimed the second spot with a score of 76 in the same category.

Rajiv Maudgill emerged as the winner in the gross category in the event for serving officers in the Civil Services Golf Tournament held at Chandigarh Golf Club on Monday. Bhupinder Singh claimed the second spot with a score of 76 in the same category.

In the gross event for retired officers,BB Kaushik claimed the title with a score of 78 on the basis of better back-nine,JS Kahira,who also shot an identical score of 78,grabbed the second spot in the same category. In the Net Score event for serving officers,Ajay Kanwar emerged as the winner with a score of 63 while Kulwaran Singh got the second spot with a score of 68. Bhupinder Singh claimed the special prize for the Longest Drive with a drive of 335 yards. In the Nearest to the Pin category,SS Parshad took away the title with a distance of two inches to the pin. The one-day event saw the participation of more than 150 officers.

Kulwaran Singh 68; Special Prizes: Longest Drive: Bhupinder Singh 335 yards; Nearest to the pin : SS Parshadi (2 inches to the hole at the 14th hole).
