Punjab ruined under Akalis: Cong MLA

A large group of the protesters wore black clothes and raised slogans against the ruling party in the state.

Mohali MLA Balbir Singh Sidhu,along with other Congress leaders,led a rally to protest against the ruling Akali-BJP government in the state on Monday. The march was supported by various other organisations including residents’ welfare associations,religious bodies and other social welfare organisations and terminated at the DC office,where the agitators put forth a memorandum. A large group of the protesters wore black clothes and raised slogans against the ruling party in the state.

Sidhu condemned the state government for imposing huge taxes on the public and warned the ruling party to withdraw the same or the residents of Mohali would continue their agitation. He blamed the government for exploiting the farmers during paddy procurement and said that the state has been ruined by the Akali regime in every aspect.
