Punjab Anti-Gangster Task Force arrests gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s associate Vishal Khan

The Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab Police, in a joint operation with Mohali police, arrested Mehfuj alias Vishal Khan, an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang, on Saturday. The police also recovered a pistol with five live cartridges from the accused.

Preliminary investigations revealed that he was planning to commit a crime in the Tricity area. He was allegedly the mastermind behind the firing incident at an IELTS centre in Mohali’s Dera Bassi in September 2024 and had been on the run since.

Since 2023, Khan has allegedly been working on the directions of Brar.

Gaurav Yadav, Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab, took to X and said Khan had collected a consignment of weapons from Haryana-based gangster Joginder Joga who had provided arms and logistical assistance to the accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case. He was arrested in connection with that case.
