PU to GMCH 32 director: Give facts for re-evaluation request

Panjab University,in its syndicate meeting today,directed the Director-Principal of Government Medical College and Hospital Sector 32 to provide factual details in support of his request for 'independent evaluation’ of examination papers of six candidates of radiodiagnosis.

Panjab University (PU),in its syndicate meeting today,directed the Director-Principal of Government Medical College and Hospital Sector 32 (GMCH-32) to provide factual details in support of his request for ‘independent evaluation’ of examination papers of six candidates of radiodiagnosis.

GMCH Director-Principal had moved an application seeking ‘independent evaluation’ of six B Sc candidates,after two of the students had failed in the recent examinations. The issue was placed in the syndicate meeting today.

PU has asked the Director to constitute a committee from the respective department. The House authorised the Vice-Chancellor and Controller of Examinations to take a decision and to scrutinise their evaluated answer scripts. GMCH will a Committee which will look into the case of the two students who had failed in the examination. The recommendations of the Committee along-with the detailed past results would then be discussed by the Syndicate on February 15.

Panjab University has also sought a representation from the students who have requested for the ‘independent evaluation’. The syndicate members maintained that there are provisions for re-evaluation for science students in Panjab University norms,as on date.
