PU Prof nominated to research panel

Prof S K Mehta,Chairperson of Department of Chemistry,Panjab University (PU),has been nominated as a member of the subject expert committee on chemical sciences for ‘Funds for improvement of S & T infrastructure in universities and higher educational institutions’ (FIST) by the Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) of Department of Science and Technology (DST),New Delhi.

Prof S K Mehta,Chairperson of Department of Chemistry,Panjab University (PU),has been nominated as a member of the subject expert committee on chemical sciences for ‘Funds for improvement of S & T infrastructure in universities and higher educational institutions’ (FIST) by the Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) of Department of Science and Technology (DST),New Delhi.

FIST programme was initiated by the Centre during 2000-2001 to facilitate support towards augmenting higher education and research largely at the university and academic sectors by enhancing basic infrastructural facilities to teach and conduct research in basic or applied science areas.

Prof Mehta is an Honorary DAAD Advisor and recipient of prestigious awards,including German DAAD fellowship,Authors award of Royal Society of Chemistry,UK and JSPS invitation fellowship of Japan,DST-DAAD PPP and DST-JSPS international projects.
