Protests delay morning Shatabdi by two hours

The arrival of the morning Shatabdi from Delhi was delayed by around two hours,causing harassment to the passengers. The delay was caused due to agitation at Bhodwal Majri station of Delhi Division. The train halted several times along the way before reaching the city.

The train departed from Delhi at its scheduled time. However,due to protests at Bhodwal Majri in Panipat district,the train made several stops along the way. Ranging from a few minutes to around half an hour,there were five to six halts made by the train.

A harried passenger stated that there was no information available on why the train was being stopped at regular intervals. “The moment we heaved a sigh of relief that the train had started moving,it was halted again. We had a harrowing time as we reached Chandigarh in the afternoon,” he said.

The train that arrives in Chandigarh at 11.05 amon Wednesday arrived at around 1 pm. Some passengers complained about getting delayed for work.
