Police to probe marks tampering case against PU professors

A lower court has issued directions to the Chandigarh Police to conduct an inquiry into the case relating to the alleged tampering of marksheets by professors of Panjab University.

A lower court has issued directions to the Chandigarh Police to conduct an inquiry into the case relating to the alleged tampering of marksheets by professors of Panjab University. The court has also directed the police to collect all evidence pertaining to the case and submit its report by October 30.

The Global Human Right Council has filed a criminal complaint in this regard against Panjab University through Vice-Chancellor RC Sobti.

The university has constituted a committee to investigate the matter.

The complaint came up for hearing today in court,following which the SHO of the Sector-11 police station was directed to conduct an inquiry into the alleged tampering.
