Phone call between Lawrence & Parry surfaces; conversation reported to be recent

Police have initiated a probe to verify the authenticity of the three-minute audio recording.

The emergence of the clip has raised serious questions about how Lawrence — currently lodged in Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati Jail under high-security detention—could have communicated with associates outside.35-year-old associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who was shot dead near the Timber Market in Sector 26 on Monday evening. While the Chandigarh Police continue to investigate the murder of Inderpreet Singh, alias Parry, and are yet to arrest the assailants, an audio clip purportedly featuring a phone conversation between gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Parry has surfaced. In the clip, a voice said to be Lawrence’s is heard asking Parry about his recent marriage, to which Parry confirms that he got married on November 13.

Police have initiated a probe to verify the authenticity of the three-minute audio recording.

The emergence of the clip has raised serious questions about how Lawrence — currently lodged in Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati Jail under high-security detention—could have communicated with associates outside.

Sources said Parry was travelling in his Kia Seltos when an unknown man seated beside him handed him a phone, asking him to speak to someone. That caller, sources claim, was Lawrence. The purported conversation has since been shared widely on social media.

In the recording, Lawrence first asks about Parry’s well-being. The tone, however, soon shifts, with Lawrence issuing what appears to be a veiled threat.

“Only I will remain now. You all opposed too much. Things have gone bad, and now the work will happen. It was necessary to speak to you once… God has written some other script and some other karma… whatever the current situation may be, may God keep me happy,” he is heard saying.

Parry responds that he does not visit court and has only received a message. He also asks Bishnoi about his health, to which Bishnoi replies that he had been unwell and facing pressure in jail.

The call ends abruptly — marking what appears to be Parry’s final communication with Lawrence before his murder. Parry was later shot dead in what police believe was a meticulously planned execution.

Investigators are also examining whether this phone call took place inside the car just minutes before Parry’s murder.
Police have also found that the shooters were already present in Parry’s vehicle at the time of the incident. One of them allegedly facilitated the phone call and simultaneously recorded it, while Parry remained unaware of the impending attack. Multiple police teams are conducting raids to identify the shooters and unravel the larger conspiracy behind Parry’s killing.
