Dev was relieved on Tuesday after he completed his three-year tenure with the Union Territory administration and was set to join his new assignment with the Arunanchal Pradesh government.
Consequently,Dev has now been relieved as additional secretary (home) which will facilitate him in his future assignment.
Sources say that though Dev,a 2007 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer,had already been getting super time scale since last year,his promotion in the form of redesignation has only come on the last day of his tenure with UT administration.

In an administrative reshuffle,the charge of director,public relations,has been given to M M Sabarwal,secretary,Chandigarh Housing Board,relieving the present director,public relations,Yogesh Kumar,of the charge.
In addition,Prerna Puri,secretary,IT,has been given the additional charge of joint secretary,home,upon relieving of Dev of the said charge.
