Parry murder: 40-year-old Kharar man held for ‘providing’ logistics to assailants

Police sources said that Rahul reportedly provided the Creta car to assailants, which was later used in the crime.

The police have traced the origins of the Creta car to Kota (Rajasthan). Police sources said that the SUV was stolen from Kota, Rajasthan, in 2024. The attackers had meticulously tampered with and painted over the vehicle’s engine and chassis numbers and had replaced its number plate to avoid detection. The Chandigarh Police sought the expertise of an automobile specialist, who was able to uncover the original identifiers, leading to confirmation of the vehicle’s stolen status.

The Chandigarh Police has retrieved crucial digital evidence — including call recordings and deleted voice notes — from the victim’s mobile phones. These recoveries are expected to play a central role in cracking the case.

Police sources said that the assailants have been identified, and as per CCTV footage obtained, one of the suspects is Piyush, who has been on the run since he emerged as a prime accused in the June killing of kabaddi player Sonu Nolta outside a mall in Pinjore earlier this year.

As per the police, there are two main suspects, who aimed at the victim, while others are co-conspirators.

Parry, known for his association with gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, was shot dead by unidentified assailants at Timber Market in Sector 26 on Monday evening. He was found critically injured inside a Kia Seltos SUV and succumbed to his injuries at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
