Panchkula DC directs officials to monitor drinking water

In view of the recent diarrhoea epidemics in Mauli Jagran,Panchkula Deputy Commissioner Ashima Brar,on Tuesday.

In view of the recent diarrhoea epidemics in Mauli Jagran,Panchkula Deputy Commissioner Ashima Brar,on Tuesday,directed district health officials to ensure availability of clean drinking water in the area,especially in Rajiv Colony,Indira Colony,Hangola,Paploha and other slums.

As part of her monthly meeting with the District Officers’ Board,the DC also urged the Public Health Department to be extra careful while supplying drinking water to the unauthorised slums of Kalka-Pinjore. She directed the Panchkula Municipal Council,Public Health Department,Health Department and HUDA officials to monitor cases of diarrhoea outbreaks in the district. She also instructed that water should not be allowed to stagnate near drinking water supply pipelines.
