From this month,only those residents who have their ration cards registered with fair price shops in UT and Chandigarh or have the enrolment stamp on their cards will be entitled to draw their PDS commodities from their respective fair price shops.
For enrolment of beneficiaries,the online service windows on the premises of food & supplies department,Sector 17,is already active and for convenience of residents,more online service windows have been established on the premises of CTU,Industrial Area,Phase-II and O/o the SDM (S) Sector 42 in Chandigarh.
These online service windows shall be functional from 9 am to 6 pm on all working days,except Mondays and gazetted holidays. For enrolment,the head of the family and at least one member above 12 years of age are required to be present.
The scale of distribution of PDS commodities for April would be 26 kg wheat for APL,30 kg rice and 5 kg wheat for BPL families and 35 kg rice for AAY.
