After Saraswatichandra, another work of legendary writer Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay has been adapted for television. His popular novel Navvidhan has been made into a show titled Tumhari Paakhi for Life Ok. “The show explores the intricacies of human relationships and the delicate yet complex bond of love,” says actor Iqbal Khan, who is cast in the lead role. Khan was in town with his co-actor Shraddha Arya for the shows’ promotion.

Arya plays the role of Paakhi, who is married to him as a child, and waits 18 years for an answer to close the pages of their story. “As Paakhi waits for Anshuman (Khan) to tie the loose strings of her story, she stands strong, undeterred and hopeful,” says Arya, who has been cast as a guide in Udaipur. The show premiered on November 11,and is the story of a handsome but selfish and powerful businessman from Shimla,Anshuman (Khan) and a simple and good natured tourist guide from Chittor,Paakhi (Arya).

“Paakhi may come across as gullible, but she is also an independent girl,” adds Arya, who was last seen in Main Laxmi Tere Aangan Ki and says while the show might have child marriage as a part of the storyline,it is not regressive.

Meanwhile, this show marks Khan’s return to TV after two years.
