In the past one year,Nandini Sharma has made quite a name for himself on the tennis circuit. A talented player who never shies away from working hard on her game,Nandini quietly made her way to the top while others around her boisteriously announced their arrival on the big stage. A thinking player,Nandini hogged the limelight when she won the girls’ U-14 doubles title at the Fenesta National sub-junior tennis championship in Delhi last year. Since then, she has climbed her way to the top, winning several AITA titles. Her talent was again on display on Tuesday in the girls’ U-18 singles and doubles categories of the CLTA-AITA Talent Series Tennis Tournament.

Nandini worked her magic on the CLTA courts and first defeated Gurmehar Kaur 9-3 in the second round match in singles category and later she paired up with Gayatri Kumariah to beat Gurmehar Kaur and Bani Singh 4-2,4-2,to enter the second round in the doubles category.

In both the matches,Gurmehar Kaur was on the receiving end as Nandini completed bamboozled her opponent with her superior technique and hitting prowess.

Gayatri Kumariah was not far behind Nandini and also registered a hard-fought 9-7 victory over Dimarjeet Kaur,to enter the next round in girls’ U-18 singles category.
