Day after murder of associate Parry, audio clip attributed to Goldy Brar claims Lawrence Bishnoi lured him to death

On Monday, Inderpreet Singh alias Parry, 35, was shot dead in Chandigarh’s Sector 26. The audio clip claims that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi had recently contacted Parry to congratulate him on his wedding.

The deceased, identified as Inderpreet Singh, 35, alias Parry, was found inside a car and was rushed to PGIMER, Chandigarh, where he succumbed to his injuries.Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi

A purported audio clip of gangster Goldy Brar, which went viral on social media Tuesday, a day after the killing of his associate Inderpreet Singh alias Parry, 35, has revealed fresh cracks within the Bishnoi-Brar syndicate. In the clip, Brar directly accuses gangster Lawrence Bishnoi of plotting Parry’s murder by personally calling him to a meeting under the pretext of discussing “family matters”.

According to the audio, Brar claims that Bishnoi had phoned Parry days before the attack to congratulate him on his wedding, which took place on November 13. He then allegedly told Parry that certain issues could not be discussed over his own phone and asked him to meet at a location where a “friend” with a safer device would arrive. Brar alleges that this was the trap that led Parry to the shooters.

“You called him yourself and got him killed,” Brar says in the clip, while recounting how Parry’s parents had treated Bishnoi “like a son”. He insists Parry never spoke ill of Bishnoi and had always regarded him, like Brar, as a brother.

In a direct warning to Bishnoi, Brar is heard saying that he should now “start counting his days”, adding that he would meet the same fate as Parry.

Brar also refers to the killing of Bishnoi’s aide, Jora Sidhu alias Sippa, in Dubai last month. He claims Sippa had been eliminated by his faction for being a police informer and for allegedly siphoning off extortion money without sharing it with gang members. Brar asserts that Parry had no role in Sippa’s death, pointing out that he was at his own wedding ceremony at the time.

The audio clip appears to counter a social media post shared shortly after Parry’s murder, which had claimed the killing was “revenge for Sippa”. Brar dismisses this narrative, accusing Bishnoi’s group of spreading falsehoods to justify the assassination.

Old friends turn foes

Parry’s killing has exposed deep fractures in the syndicate. Parry and Bishnoi first met in 2011 as classmates at DAV College in Chandigarh’s Sector 10, and briefly joined the politics circle of the Students Organisation of Panjab University (SOPU) in 2010. Along with Goldy Brar, they drifted to organised crime and remained a tight-knit trio for years.

However, earlier this year, a widening rift emerged after Brar publicly broke away from the Bishnoi network, reportedly upset over the latter’s dissatisfaction with how he handled matters involving his brother Anmol in the US.

The rivalry escalated violently in November when Brar’s associate Rohit Godara claimed responsibility for killing Bishnoi’s ally Sippa in Dubai.

A threatening message posted on social media on Monday — purportedly by gangsters Aarzoo Bishnoi, Hari Boxer and others — alleged that Parry had “betrayed” their faction by supporting Brar, collecting extortion money for him and plotting attacks on their associates. It warned that anyone siding with Brar would be targeted globally. The police are verifying the authenticity of this post.

CCTV, forensics reveal inside job

A detailed reconstruction of Parry’s murder by the Chandigarh Police points to a meticulously planned, two-layered execution. Out on bail and facing multiple cases pertaining to murder, extortion and illegal arms, Parry left the Kala Ghoda Club in Sector 26 around 6.30 pm on Monday.

CCTV shows another man accompanying him and taking the front passenger seat of his Kia Seltos car. Barely a kilometre ahead, near the Timber Market stretch, the man is suddenly seen pulling out a pistol and firing multiple rounds at Parry from close range. The CCTV footage is now being probed by investigators.

Seconds later, a white Hyundai Creta trailing the Kia pulls up alongside. Three to four assailants step out and fire additional shots to “ensure the kill”, the police said.

Investigators estimate 11 rounds were fired in total — five from inside the car and six from outside. Parry sustained six to seven bullet wounds, including a fatal shot to the chest. The attackers fled in the Creta.

Police officers believe the killing is the result of a deepening internal rupture and are examining the viral audio clip, the threatening social media post, and call detail records of all people in contact with Parry.

The role of the co-passenger, believed to be part of the conspiracy, is also under scrutiny.
