Mercury dips but school timings unchanged

Despite a further dip in the city’s mercury level,the UT Education Department,on Sunday,said that schools will continue to function as per the current winter schedules.

Despite a further dip in the city’s mercury level,the UT Education Department,on Sunday,said that schools (both government and private) will continue to function as per the current winter schedules. DPI (Schools) Sandeep Hans said,“There will be no change in the schedules. Private schools have set their own timings,while we have already directed the government schools to start at 8.30 am till January 31. There are no further changes.” The department has directed the schools not to hold morning assemblies and close the second shift of double-shift schools at 5 pm till January 31.
