For this purpose, bins will be purchased and kept in the societies. The decision was taken in the meeting of the Sanitation Committee held on Monday.
It was decided that 140 bins and three vehicles for garbage collection would be purchased. The project would first be initiated in societies in Sector 48 and thereafter extended to other sectors. The work within the societies is the responsibility of the society.
The Sanitation Committee meeting was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Harphool Chander Kalyan and attended by other members. Councillor Davesh Moudgil was a special invitee to the meeting since he had taken up the agenda for the housing societies.
