MC House to discuss issue of dumping ground

The issue of additional land being demanded for the dumping ground will be taken up for discussion in the House Meeting of the Municipal Corporation on Wednesday. The issue is likely to lead to a heated debate in the House.

A dumping ground already exists in Dadumajra, but it is filling up fast. The issue has been raised a number of times in the House. Councillors have contended that it was due to the non-functional garbage processing plant and more inerts are being produced than the limit. Due to this, the dumping ground that was supposed to be filled up in more than a decade,is overflowing.
