Its a tribute to my friend Mario, said Gerard da Cunha,an architect and the owner of independent publishing house,Architecture Autonomous. Da Cunhas stall in Hall No. 2 at the World Book Fair in the Capital is set up with the sole purpose of commemorating famous Indian cartoonist Mario de Miranda,who passed away in December last year. The stall displayed a collage of illustrated books with pictorial descriptions,cartoon compositions and graphic compilations by the late cartoonist. Some titles in the collection include Marios Goa,Marios Travels and Inside Goa with Marios hometown,Goa,as the common thread. The price of books ranged between Rs. 395 and Rs. 2,700. Our aim is to celebrate the precious work of Mario through this platform. Its my tribute to my friend Mario, said da Cunha adding that he also owns the copyright of all four personal dairies of Mario,and plans to publish some of their contents.
