A local court acquitted Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann and four others on Friday,in a sedition case registered against them at Anandpur Sahib. Mann,along with Bhag Singh Surtapur,Bachan Singh Bains,Sarabjit Singh and Amandeep Singh Abiana,was facing trial in the court of Ropar Additional Sessions Judge M S Randhawa under Sections 124-A,153-A,148,149 of IPC at Anandpur Sahib for making inflammatory speeches there on June 8,2005 on the occasion the anniversary of Operation Bluestar.
