An ongoing property dispute took an ugly turn when the two parties entered into a scuffle in the presence of police in Manimajra.

The Punjab Police personnel had gone to the residence of one Monty Singla to hand over summons over a property dispute case. Monty’s father and co-accused,was denied anticipatory bail by a Mohali court on Tuesday. High drama was witnessed as complainant Ashok Mittal,reached Monty’s house in Manimajra and a scuffle broke out.

While Ashok alleged that Monty misbehaved with him,snatched the keys of his car and beat him up,Monty alleged that he is suffering because Ashok has connections with the higher-ups in the police.

Monty said: “The Mohali police was chasing me from Zirakpur. We have not been issued any summons.”

Ashok Mittal,said: “We had gone to give them summons to join the investigation where they started misbehaving with us.”
