Man crushed to death by speeding vehicle

A man was was crushed to death under an unidentified vehicle near Mullanpur village on late Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as one Narinder Singh,resident of Takkipur village in Mohali. Investigation officer ASI Amrit Lal said Singh was mowed down by an unidentified vehicle that sped away under the cover of darkness. He was rushed to the PGI by passers by,where he was declared dead on arrival. A case of causing death by negligence and rash driving has been lodged against the driver of the unknown vehicle.
