The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghathan (KVS) has completed uploading lesson plans for master topics in all the subjects listed for Class I to XII on to its Electronic Comprehensive Teaching and Learning Tool (eCTLT),launched in July last year.
With this, students and teachers in all Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) across the country will be able to access lesson plans in the new academic session which begins in April. Further, the teachers can download and update the lesson plans as per their own expertise and use them in classroom teaching.
The software is running as a library of teaching lessons prepared by each teacher in all the regions individually.
The lesson prepared by one teacher can be accessed by any other teacher across all the regions and subsequent changes can be made in the lessons by the latter.
In the first phase, chapters of the subjects for each class were divided among teachers in 68 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) across the northern region in a way that each teacher had been asked to prepare two lesson plans for uploading on the website by the month of October.
Later, the same model was replicated in all the other regions.
We have deliberately divided the workload in this manner so that teachers focus on quality.
Our key aim behind the launch of this kind of a program is to ensure productive growth of the teachers. e-CTLT should work as a forum for exchange of ideas for our teachers all over the country, said KVS Assistant Commissioner M S Chauhan.
Another objective of launching the library system was to improve the quality of teaching in schools located in remote areas like Rekong Peo in Kinnaur,Sainj in Kullu and Bhisiana near Bathinda, added Chauhan.
