The statements of three witnesses were recorded today the kidnapping and subsequent murder of five-year-old Khushpreet. The statements were recorded in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge VP Sirohi.
The statement of Suresh Gupta,a resident of Fatehgarh Sahib and a hardware shop owner in Chandigarh,was recorded today. He deposed that Sukhdev,who is the prime accused in the case,bought material worth Rs 1.32 lakh from him and later made a payment of Rs 10,000 to him.
UT Police constable Vinod,also deposed in court. He stated that he had got the post-mortem examination of the boy done at GMSH-16 and produced the records. Deepak Matoo,manager of a private bank,also produced the details of Sukhdev’s account in court.
Five-year old Khushpreet Singh,son of a dairy owner was kidnapped and subsequently murdered by his neighbour on December 21,2010 near his house in Burail. His body was recovered from Mohali. Khushpreet was not released despite his family paying the Rs 4 lakh ransom. The Police had arrested Sukhdev Singh,Gurvinder Singh and Nand Kishore in relation to the case.
