With a majority of complaints in his Jan Lokpal Box pertaining to unemployment,Forest Minister Surjit Singh Jayani has organised a job fair in Fazilka on Monday. Jayani had installed the box after winning the Assembly polls to address the grievances of people in his constituency of Fazilka.
The minister said that on an average,he received 300 complaints a month,with a majority being youngsters seeking employment. He added that he received 700 applications for jobs from Jalalabad alone,the deputy chief ministers constituency.
I realised that unemployment is the major problem in not only my constituency but even in the adjacent areas as well. So I decided to organise a job fair which will be held tomorrow (Monday). I have called 30 reputed companies from Punjab. The qualification ranges from Class X to MBA. Youngsters can get jobs as per their qualification and ability, Jayani told The Indian Express on Sunday.
According to Jayani,the prominent companies that will be part of the job fair are: Hero cycles,Avon cycles,Trident,Ralson,Nahar group,Arihant Spinning and Malwa Cotton.
