Former Haryana deputy chief minister Chander Mohan aka Chand Mohammeds second wife Fiza was discharged from the Government Medical College and Hospital,Sector 32,today. After her discharge from the hospital,Fiza, however, told the media that she never attempted suicide. I was tense,as my husband is not traceable. I had a severe pain in my back,so I took some pills. I dont know how I consumed so many of them. I never attempted suicide, she told mediapersons.
I am not that stupid that I will try to kill myself, she added.

Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Jatinder Singh Aulakh, however, said they were still considering it a case of attempted suicide and further action would be initiated against Fiza on the basis of medical reports. Superintendent of Police (City) Varinder Paul Singh said a medical report was awaited to see which medicine she had consumed and in what dose. This report will become base for the trial of the case, said Varinder. Before being discharged from hospital,Fiza was counselled by the head of psychiatric department,Dr B S Chavan, who has called her next week for another session.
Talking to the media,Fiza also sought to clarify that her relationship with Chand was cordial. The relationships between me and my husband are not strained,as projected by the media. Even Chand Mohammeds statement to the media never suggested anything like that, she said.
Lashing out at Bhajan Lal,former Haryana chief minister and Chander Mohans father,Fiza said: Ever since we got married,Bhajan Lal has been making all possible efforts to bring Chand back to the family. I would not believe that my husband is all right till I meet him personally.
While Chand Mohammed remained untraceable, with his cellphone switched off,his official spokesperson Deepak Rai Walia claimed that he was safe and was putting up at a friends house in Greater Kailash,New Delhi. Chander Mohan left for Delhi on his own. He is expected to come back in three to four days, said Walia. He added there was a special purpose behind his disappearance, which Chander Mohan would reveal to the media once he returned.
