Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Wednesday said that Haryana would soon become free from level crossings as the government has signed an agreement with the Railway Ministry to expand the rail network in the state. He further said that all level crossings would be converted either into railway underpasses or overbridges.
Addressing a public meeting at Matenhail in Jhajjar district, Khattar said that the Union Defence Ministry has given a positive response to opening of the Sainik School in Matanhail and he would soon lay the foundation stone after getting the final approval.
The Chief Minister said that mapping was being done to establish new colleges as per the need of the area. He said that foundation stones of six colleges have been laid and for 22 colleges, these would be laid on January 22. The CM also made several announcements for the area.
Drama was witnessed before the arrival of the Chief Minister to the rally ground when BJP MLA Naresh Kaushik staged a walk out from the venue after his supporters were allegedly not given a place to sit on the stage.
