Haryana Health Minister Rao Narender Singh suffered a hairline fracture in his right wrist after a mini-truck rammed into his official vehicle today. The accident took place today at around 12 noon when Singh was heading towards the Rock Garden along with his personal assistant and security guard in his official vehicle.
The Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF) mini-truck was coming out of the Sukhna Lake parking area and rammed into the minister’s official car. The impact of the collision was such that the car further collided with a scooter passing from the opposite side. The minister and his driver were immediately rushed to PGI. Two CRPF constables too received injuries in the accident.
Narender Singh suffered a hairline fracture in his right wrist and some other minor injuries. As a precautionary measure,CT scan and diagnostic tests were done on him. Doctors attending on him said that his condition is stable. Narender was admitted in a VIP room in the emergency wing’s ward number 22.
His personal assistant suffered head injuries and is stable,said the PGI doctors. A routine check-up,including a CT scan,has been performed on him. The two others including a CRPF jawan were admitted to GMSH-16 and were discharged after treatment. Sector 3 police station SHO Inspector Neeraj Sarna said,”We have registered a case on charges of rash and negligent driving under Sections 279 and 337 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the truck driver Deepak Kumar Yadav. He is a constable of the 13 battalion CRPF and presently admitted to the GMSH-16. The case is under investigation.”
The driver,constable Deepak Kumar Yadav,is still admitted in PGI. Sarna added that after his discharge,he will be arrested.
