Two people were sustained gun shot injuries after a gun accidentally went off while it was being cleaned.

Two people were sustained gun shot injuries after a gun accidentally went off while it was being cleaned. According to the police,the incident took place on Thursday morning around 10.30 am in Manimjara. Gheesi Yaman Yadav (40),who is employed at Sethison Jewellers as a security guard,was sitting outside the shop cleaning his .12 bore single-barrel rifle. While he was doing so,the loaded gun accidentally went off. Panchkula resident Narinder Kumar,who works in a cosmetic shop above the jewellery showroom,was standing in the corridor,a few meters away from the guard when the pellets from the bullet hit him in the arm.

Another person,identified as Ajay Kumar,a resident of New Indra Colony,Manimajra,was standing on the roadside,waiting for a bus when the pellets hit him in the head. Both the victims were rushed to PGIMER where they received treatment for their injuries. Both are stated to be out of danger.

Meanwhile,a forensic team also inspected the spot. The accused has been arrested and a case has been registered at the Manimajra police station on the complaint of Solipal Singh Sethi.
