In a bid to promote environmental sustainability and inspire collective action, Guardians Of The Green ’23 launched its inaugural chapter at Hyatt Regency in Chandigarh last week. This initiative aims to foster a greener future by transcending boundaries and bringing together visionaries, thought leaders, and change-makers. The event was organized by SIA in collaboration with Chhapai.Com, Back To Source, and Mammals And More, who joined forces to champion the cause of preserving our planet.
The event featured insightful keynote sessions by various distinguished speakers, including Dr Deepak Vohra, Ashish Vasudeva, Professor Adarsh Pal Vig, Dr Mirza M Arif, and Professor Siby John. Dr Deepak Vohra, the chief guest and ambassador, expressed his appreciation for the passion and dedication exhibited at Guardians Of The Green, emphasizing the importance of protecting and preserving the planet for future generations.
Rajesh Batra, the founder of Chhapai.Com and SIA, highlighted the mission of Guardians Of The Green ’23, stating that the initiative’s chapters across India and internationally aim to inspire and empower individuals and organizations to actively safeguard our planet, forging a greener and more sustainable world.
Munish Aggarwal, the founder of Back To Source Cafe, echoed the sentiment, stressing the need for collective responsibility and the restoration of natural resources. Gurbaksh Singh and Gurmilan Kaur, the co-founders of Mammals And More and co-curators of the event, expressed their excitement for the future, stating that Guardians Of The Green would continue to spearhead various movements promoting sustainable actions in Chandigarh.
Two panel discussions were conducted as part of Guardians Of The Green ’23, addressing the subjects of “Sustainable Startups: Innovating for a Greener Future” and “Influencer Impact: Leveraging Social Media for A Sustainable Change.” These discussions provided a platform for exchanging ideas and exploring innovative approaches to sustainability.
Renowned artist Neerajj Mittra showcased his talent through a performance titled “Art With Waste,” where he utilized waste paper, old magazines, colors, and discarded household items to create meaningful art. Neerajj encouraged everyone to embrace this creative pursuit, adding value and sustainability to their artistic journey.
