A minor girl of West Bengal who was allegedly forced into sexual exploitation was rescued by a team of West Bengal police officials and the members of the non-governmental organisation (NGO),Shakti Vahini,from Morni village here Wenesday evening. However the members of the NGO alleged that they were not provided with the facility of a child protection home and the girl was kept for nearly four hours at the Chandimandir police station.
The 15-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped by Ismail Haq of West Bengal. Haq,who has been arrested had been exploiting the girl sexually and she was kept at a rented accommodation in Morni for the last month.
SHO of Chandimandir police station,Satish Kumar,said,We provided the necessary women police force and vehicle to help the West Bengal police to rescue the girl.
Sentence upheld in Panchkula accident case
Additional District and Sessions judge,Sanjay Sandhir,has upheld the sentence passed by a lower court in an accident case.
The court on Wednesday upheld the sentence awarded to one Narinder Singh of Pinjore,who had caused an accident leading to the death of one person. The court on Wednesday dismissed the criminal revision appeal filed by the accused.
The court upheld the punishment orders passed by Judicial Magistrate first class,Renu Rana,in the accident case.
The JMIC had earlier on May 14,2012 handed down a sentence of three months and a fine of Rs 300 under Section 279 of IPC and a prison term of one year under Section 304 of the IPC and a fine of Rs 1,000 to the accused.
