The local police claim to have busted an inter-state gang of tractor thieves operating in Haryana,Rajasthan,Delhi and Uttar Pradesh,by arresting four of the five members of the gang.
The arrested have been identified as Dayanand of Hansi,Satbir of Sisai,Sanjay of Sekhupura and Rajpal of Garhi village. However,mastermind of the gang,Vinod,managed to escape.
The gang,which was active in Hisar,Kaithal and Jind,stole 16 tractors of which five have been recovered. More arrests are expected on the basis of information given by those arrested.
Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar said the the gang was planning another theft which was averted by timely action. After a tip-off,a special team raided their hideout and arrested them.

They used to sell the tractors in villages bordering Haryana,the SP said.
