With the hosts Kings XI Punjab facing Chennai Super Kings in their first home match of the sixth season of the Indian Premier league (IPL),the local fans will hope and look to see the hosts win the match.

The Punjab side led by Adam Gilchrist made a winning start to the tournament with an eight-wicket victory over Pune Warriors last week. That good performance by the Kings has the local fans excited as more than 60 percent tickets have been sold for the match.

With tickets being sold through the internet also, the percentage is likely to go up even on the match day,and the authorities are expecting a full house today.

“In the last season, the team did well in the later stage of the tournament. The Kings had failed to win any of its opening match before this edition. They have broken the jinx with the win over Pune Warriors. This has attracted the interest of the fans. Moreover,Chennai Super Kings are being led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and many fans would come to see him in action too,” shared an official.

Fans are expected in large number to watch the match and more attendance is being predicted as compared to last month’s Test match between India and Australia at the PCA Stadium. “We could not watch the Test match last month as our exams were going on. We were waiting for the IPL to start. The match is in the evening and we are going in a group to watch the match. We are eager to see Mahendra Singh Dhoni in action apart from local players of Kings XI Punjab and we expect it to be a close match,” shared Sachin Gupta,a student.
