Sunny Enclave residents frustated as water woes continue

A persistent drinking water crisis in Sector 125, Sunny Enclave, in Mohali, has continued to leave residents frustrated as irregular and severely low water supply disrupted daily life. Families especially senior citizens and children are bearing the brunt of the worsening situation.

On Saturday, a large group of residents reached the office of Bajwa Developers demanding an immediate resolution to the water shortage. However, no official from the developer came forward, nor was any clarification offered. Residents alleged that even the office lights were switched off and not a single representative stepped out to engage with them, further heightening public anger.

The peaceful protest saw participation from RWA leaders and local residents, including RWA president Harbans Singh Sidhu, general secretary Onkardeep Singh Toor, legal advisor Antar Singh Brar, along with other members and women from the community. They said that despite raising repeated complaints for months, the developer has failed to address the crisis, severely impacting daily routines.

After the developer refused to communicate, the residents collectively marched to the SDM office, where they submitted a written complaint against Bajwa Developers. The SDM assured them that the issue of water supply would be taken up on priority and necessary action would follow.
