The first executive committee meeting after the elections of the office bearers of Federation of Sectors Welfare Association (FOSWAC),Chandigarh,was held today. Chairperson P C Sanghi mooted the proposal to form four separate sub-committees to pursue the issues related to the administration,Municipal Corporation,Chandigarh Housing Board and police authorities,and requested the members to volunteer their services for it. He also informed the members that a website of FOSWAC will be launched and necessary information will be disseminated to the members through e-mail.
The issue regarding implementation of garbage collection project all over the city on the pattern of a pilot project taken up in Sector 22 was discussed and on account of the lack of consensus,the matter was deferred to the next meeting. The Chairperson apprised the members that in pursuance of the meeting of the delegation of FOSWAC held with the Administrator and other senior functionaries of the administration on January 2,some of the issues such as Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System,Right to Service Bill and relaxation in additional need-based changes in CHB flats were in the process of implementation.
Hamarisuraksha Software Solutions Private Limited in association with the police made a presentation to the members of FOSWAC about registration of data,photographs and fingerprints of tenants,domestic servants,vendors and floating labourers such as security guards,plumbers,electricians,drivers,immigrants,so that the police can track them in case of a crime committed by them.
