Moving ahead with its endeavour to contribute to a green tomorrow,Chandigarh-Punjab chapter of the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) will organise an international conference on ‘Building Green Cities’ in association with the Embassy of Switzerland and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology,Zurich,on September 15 at Government Museum and Art Gallery,Sector 10. Swiss Ambassador to India Philippe Welti will be present and the others who will speak include Prof Daniel Spreng from Centre for Energy Policy and Economics,Zürich; Prof Gerhard Schmitt from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology,Zürich; Prof. Dietmar Eberle from Swiss Technical College in Zurich and Matia Celio,Science and Technology Councellor,Embassy of Switzerland. Architect Jit Gupta,Director,College of Architecture,Bhaddal will chair the sessions,while architects SD Sharma and Manjeet Tangri will participate in the panel discussion.
