Step by step
It was a performance that had colour, energy and all the right moves. The Anu Preet Dance Academy showcased its first dance programme, which involved all 45 participants who had joined the 15-day workshop conducted by Nritya Shiromani choreographer Shakuntala Pawar. The group dances depicted vibrant rural Rajasthani folk dance in its traditional ‘Mera Gorbandh nakhralo’,‘Sawan Surango’,‘Haryo Rumaal’,‘Daang Leela’,‘Aag Chari’,‘Dholkadi’ dances. “There is immense talent in the tricity, but a lack of organized facilities where lovers of dance can get exposure and training from experts in the field. I now intend to bring to Chandigarh the best exponents of dance in the field,” said Anu Preet, the moving force behind the academy and a trained dancer herself.

Return Gift
It’s a return gift from Carol Conroy to her husband Gerard Conroy. On January 24,Carol got blepharoplasty done to tighten his skin on both the upper and lower eyelids at Fortis Hospital,Mohali. Almost two years back, her husband had got a facelift and blepharoplasty surgery done at Fortis so that he could look younger,as a Valentine gift for his wife. Obviously satisfied with the results, the couple came back to Fortis. “The couple is a perfect example of how partners are undergoing cosmetic surgery to improve their faces and bodies to match their partners,” said Dr KM Kapoor,Consultant,Cosmetology,Fortis Hospital Mohali. Talking about the procedure and its benefits,Dr Kapoor said,“blepharoplasty can be both a functional and cosmetic surgical procedure to reshape the upper or lower eyelid and done by the removal or repositioning of excess tissue as well as by reinforcement of surrounding muscles and tendons.”
