An evening to remember
IT was a walk down memory lane,as Yadavindrans got together on Tuesday night after a gap of 12 years to revive good ol days spent together. The get-together was the effort of Aitchison Yadavindran Old Students Association. Part of the wonderful evening were Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Pawan Kumar Bansal,who is also the new president of the revamped Governing body of the School,Union Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur,Malvinder Singh,brother of former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh,besides a number of prominent old students including IPS officer Dinker Gupta,Maj Amardeep Singh,Talwandi Sabo MLA Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu,all of whom are new members of the Schools Governing Board. New Governing Board member Maj Amardeep Singh,Rupinder Garg,secretary of AYOSA and Bittu Jaijee,AYOSA Treasurer said with the revival of the Old Students Association and a new governing body in place,efforts would be made to restore the Schools glory,along with an addition of new facilities at the School. Earlier in the day,former students played a friendly cricket match with the present students and there was a lot of cheering,as the old students won the match. The evening saw everyone catch up and raise a toast to old friends and memories!
Dreams come true!!
IT was a dream come true for Andeep Kaur,who not only won a visa and two air tickets to New Zealand from Healthway Immigration Consultant,but a chance to meet Bhagwant Mann and Gurdas Mann at a gala function held at DAV College,Sector 10. The other winner,Navdeep Sharma was presented his stamped passport by Gurdass Mann. Talking about his upcoming movie,Sukhmani,Gurdas said the film has made him a more disciplined person and both Bhagwant and Gurdas had the students totally absorbed and excited.
