You may shop and splurge over the weekend as Vanity Fair,the annual two-day event held at the sprawling Whispering Willows resort in Zirakpur is back in its 12th edition. The much awaited one-stop-shop event is set to roll out today. Priya Jagat,its organiser,says there are many spring surprises in store this time,besides an amazing variety of products by 100 exhibitors from across the country. “We have invited many new names this year,and for the first time in Chandigarh,luxury brands such as Nina Ricci,Gianfranco Ferre,John Galliano,Emanuael Ungaro,Trussardi and Vallentino will display their range of apparel and accessories,” she says. The range of products include home accessories,furniture,linen,pottery,jewellery,clothes,lifestyle accessories,artefacts,paintings,carpets and garden accessories. Jagat recommends the visitors to look for pret and couture collections by Anjul Bhandari,who designs for Nepal’s royal family,and Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit’s collection of festive wear. Over the years,the fair has become more than just a shopping destination — with food,fun and music making it perfect for an all-day family outing. “We have a sumptuous spread of barbeque,pizzas and Mediterranean food catering to all tastes,’’ adds Jagat. The evenings are reserved for live entertainment.

Vanity Fair will be held on March 16-17,11 am to 9 pm.
