‘Get out of the way, I am going to fire’: Ex-serviceman shoots woman dead at Rohtak railway station
The accused had allegedly taken Rs 12 lakh from the victim’s family on the pretext of getting her son a job, the police said.
The victim, Pinky, was rushed to the nearby Rohtak PGIMS by her son, Lakshya, but doctors declared her dead on arrival. An ex-serviceman, who was allegedly in an inebriated state, shot a woman dead at the Rohtak railway station in Haryana in full public view on Friday night.
The police identified the accused as Vajir Singh and said he was caught at the spot and later arrested on charges of murder. The victim, Pinky, was rushed to the nearby Rohtak PGIMS by her son, Lakshya, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.

According to the police, Singh had to pay Rs 12 lakh to Pinky’s husband, Rammehar. He had allegedly taken the money, saying he would get Lakshya a job, but Rammehar told the police that he did not deliver on his promise. The matter was allegedly raised in the village panchayat, where Singh had promised that he would return the money, but did not.
