It is often said that Bollywood stars lead a life so hectic that they end up working on their holidays as well. This certainly seems to be the case for Deepika Padukone who had to mix work with pleasure on a recent trip to Milan. The sultry actor apparently took notes on her trip, which she then relied on to co-create a limited edition collection for retail brand Van Heusen. Centred around the theme of old Hollywood glamour, the line has monochrome outfits, with a palette boasting of colours such as fuchsia, cobalt blue and cream. Padukone, however,is clear about her role in the making of this collection. I have ideas but Im not very good at executing them. In that sense,Im hardly a designer. But Im very open to trying new things and sharing my ideas, she said in a press statement about the autumn/ winter 2013 collection, which is currently available in stores. Padukone concedes that the line is inspired by the clothes she owns and what she would want to wear. The collection is about wearing your own personality. Its important to not forget who you are, adds the actor, who has shot for the campaign against famous backdrops in Milan.
