Police investigation into the Sector 7 murder case of a senior citizen,Sushila Devi,has revealed that her daughter-in-law has no role in the murder case. She had come under scanner as the police had found her call details on the cell-phone of one of the domestic servants who have been arrested.

During questioning,it turned out that the woman,who was with her husband in Dubai at the time of the incident,had no role in the murder. Police said it was the contradictory statements of the domestic servants that led to the cracking of the crime.

“Our investigation has revealed that the daughter-in-law of the deceased woman had no role in the murder,” said Police Commissioner,Panchkula-Ambala range,Rajbir Deswal.

Investigations have also found that Devi had not received calls on her mobile phone many days before the murder,and the only messages on her phone were the ones sent by the service provider,adding that the statement given by domestic servants to the police were contradictory.

“We became suspicious as one of the domestic servants told the police earlier that their relatives didn’t came to the house,while another servant gave a contradictory statement,” said a senior police official.

It has come out during investigation that a paying guest was also residing in the house but he not there when the crime was reported to the police.
