Cop riding bicycle killed after being hit by BMW
Dev, 35, was crossing the road via the Zebra crossing near the Sector 9/10 traffic signal around 6.50 pm, when the accident took place.
Following the incident, the driver along with the vehicle fled away from the spot. A policeman riding a bicycle was killed after being hit reportedly by a speeding car (BMW) near the Chandigarh Police Headquarters in Sector 9, Chandigarh, on Sunday evening, The accused, identified as Ishan Shanker Roy (26), a resident of Sector 26, Panchkula, has been arrested in the case.

Police said that the accused was performing stunts in a BMW car. Due to his dangerous and high-speed driving, the vehicle collided with the bicycle of Dev, who was on his way to duty. The constable succumbed to his injuries at the spot.
