Playing a controlled game,the duo of Anurag Chopra and KJS Sandhu emerged as the winners in the Chandigarh leg of the Audi Quattro Cup 2013 season played at Panchkula Golf Club on Saturday. The duo claimed the title in the 11th event of the season and qualified for the national finals.
The duo of Chopra and Sandhu emerged as the winners with a score of 52 stableford points to claim the title. Rajinder Singh and Atul Khanna ended up at the second spot at 50 points while the pair of DS Sekhon and Naresh Nanda finished third with 49 points. A wild card entry was also picked during the prize presentation where the team of SC Kohli and Yuvin Gupta were the lucky winners. However,they have to await the scores of 12 other teams to secure a National final berth. In the various skills competition held alongside the main event,Anurag also won the “Longest Drive” prize on Hole No. 14 and emerged as the proud winner of the Audi Experience where he gets to use a chauffeur-driven Audi A6 on the weekend. Punit Jain won the Straightest Drive” award on Hole No. 3 while Rabbin Saini emerged as the winner in the “Closest to Pin” contest on Hole No.17. The next leg of the competition will be held at Delhi Golf Club next week.
